The flowers this week are given by Marion Pontin in loving memory of her husband Des. From the Minister’s Desk ........ Today is the third Sunday in Lent. We focus our opening liturgy on Jesus washing the disciple’s feet. Aware of the mandate of how we should wash our hands in the light of the Coronavirus outbreak, it helps theology to focus’s our minds on the needs of many and how we as a church follow the Government and Methodist church advice in a duty care, as Jesus was displaying in a servant ministry before the ultimate sacrifice. Today’s theme is ‘The Living Water. Please hold all in your prayers. God Bless You from David
NOTICEs Gift Day 8th March in aid of car park and general refurbishment costs. Thank you to everyone who contributed to our gift day last week. With Gift Aid taken into account, we raised an amazing £7091.75 What a mighty God we have ! Lent Prayer and Discussion: Every Wednesday 7pm except Wednesday 18th March when the prayer meeting will be followed by Bible Study Big Breakfast: Thank you to everyone who helped at or supported Big Breakfast. Shoe Box Appeal: This month we are collecting toothbrushes (no toothpaste thank you) to put into Shoe Boxes later in the year. Please give your donations to Kate or a steward. Film Morning. It has been necessary to change the dates given in the Magazine. The 20th March and 3rd April are cancelled and there will now be a final showing of The Gospel of John DVD on Thursday 26th March 10 am. This will be the dramatisation of the events leading up to and of Easter Week (from John ch 14) Cleaning Day 21st March: All hands on deck for our spring cleaning day.
