Big Breakfast

The “Big Breakfast” is held every second Saturday of the Month where church and community people can enjoy a sumptuous breakfast along with fellowship. We do not charge for the breakfast rather we ask for           donations and as the variety of food on offer is more extensive than any other restaurant the value of donations is reflected in this ranging from £5.00 to over £10.00

The Big Breakfast is cooked fresh on the premises with food sourced locally from a butcher (Coopers on the Coventry Road) as well as super markets. Because of the variety on offer – fruit juices, cereals, grapefruit, oranges, toast and home-made jams and marmalade to the main attraction of smoked and unsmoked bacon, sausage, black pudding, mushrooms, baked beans, tomatoes, fried bread, fried eggs, hash browns or frittata (Spanish Omelette) enables one to pick and choose according to their appetite.

A fantastic team of volunteers held to set up the breakfast room, serve and clear away along with the fanciful washing up so that all of our Big Breakfast fans can enjoy their full-on breakfast and a great time of fellowship. If you are weight conscious don’t be put off as many of our members come from the ranks of the Slimming club help every Saturday morning at Lyndon and look forward to a healthy blow out (sins included).

Big Breakfast is served from 09.45 until 12.00 noon enabling people to do their early morning Tesco/Morrrisons/Aldi shopping, have breakfast and dash off to support the Moors/Blues and dare I say it the Villa or whatever football club one is a fan of!

Any funds raised after costs go towards the excellent work of Lyndon Methodist Church in the local community in the form of outreach, enabling our facilities to be used for social events and all other user groups such as Boys Brigade, Girls Brigade, Phab and Slimming World, to name just a few.
