From the Minister’s Desk ........ At the start of today’s service we will have a video of the Methodist Church Task Group for the report of the Marriage and Relationships that was taken to Methodist Conference 2019 where this very diverse group of Ministers and Lay, discussed and compiled a report; ‘God in Love Unites Us’ which the resolutions were presented to Conference last year.

There is a Circuit Red Team meeting (which includes this church) here at Lyndon this coming Thursday night at 7.00pm when we at this presentation can hear and discuss openly, lovingly the implications and processes of holding together all relationships under God’s care. It is your opportunity not only to learn more, but to listen and discuss various views.

There is no expectation that individuals or groups who have studied the report will formally ‘feedback’ their thoughts but conversations which have been generated will inform those who gather at the Synods in the Spring of 2020.  Synod secretaries have been sent guidance on the votes that need to be taken and reported to Conference Office. A small group appointed by the 2019 Conference will then review the votes and comments from Synod and submit a report and resolutions to the 2020 Conference.

The report can be found at: www.methodist.org.uk/MandR19
