Friday Lunch Club

Friday Lunch Club

The Friday Lunch Club provides a venue, once a week where church and non church people can enjoy a three-course lunch with fellowship. Many of our members come from the local community which fulfils our aims as a church to be a place to belong, believe and build community together.

Food is cooked fresh on the premises enabling one to choose from three courses according to their appetite with starters and sweets at 60 pence and a main course meal at £2.30. Further to the lunch there is an opportunity to purchase home-made cakes the income from sales goes towards church funds. Cooking and serving along with clearing away and washing up is undertaken by a very dedicated team of volunteers some of whom are Lyndon Church members but also from Acocks Green and South Yardley Methodist Churches. A truly wonderful and humbling commitment by Christian minded individuals wanting to serve their community.

You are never too young to come along and enjoy a meal and fellowship especially when we celebrate special birthdays of some lovely people who in 2019 reached the tender young age of 102, and still clears the tables at the end of the session and has a sharp wit!

Food is served from 12.00 noon enabling Lunch Club members to do their shopping before hand and then enjoy a time of fellowship over lunch for an hour or so to then go about their other activities or stay on and enjoy participating in our craft group.Friday Craft Group Anyone is welcome to come along but should you want to know a little more send in a message with simple contact details, come along to the church and talk to a steward or just pop along on a Friday at midday and see for yourself.
